our ministries
Joining a Ministry is an Opportunity to Serve
We serve when we use our talents, gifts, abilities and resources to help meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of our community, city and world.
Caters for children from 5 to 11 years of age. The core of children’s ministry is to connect children with Jesus Christ from an early age so they will grow up increasingly captivated by Jesus Christ and grounded in His ways. This is done through praise & worship, God stories and skits where children are encouraged to obey and live in a manner pleasing to Jesus Christ.
Many children and families surrounding us don’t know where their next meal will come from. Children go to bed hungry and go to school on an empty stomach. Through acts of generosity, our care centres bridge the gap by providing pre-school literacy, clean water and food. Where dire need is confirmed, school fees are provided for primary and high school education.
The Children’s home aims to meet the needs of children who can’t live with their own families as well as providing food, shelter, and space for play and leisure in a caring environment. The home also acts as a place where children can grow and develop under the supervision of care givers.
Members are encouraged to engage in sharing their faith with others, as witnesses for Christ. From time to time the church engages in mass evangelism in partnership with Evangelism and Fire ministries for events geared towards presenting the gospel of Jesus Christ to many people in one sitting.
It’s important that we care for our older citizens and ensure that they remain safe and well looked after during their twilight years. Our old age home is still in the building phase. We trust and believe that it will soon be completed. In the meantime, we visit, provide food and care for the elderly right where they are.
When people are down, we are challenged to get along side of them and provide a caring, loving, and embracing atmosphere that will lift the spirits of individuals that are going through difficult times. That is what the ‘Visitation Ministry’ is all about. John 13:34-35, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35 By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you love one another.”
The purpose of this department is to help church’s growth by observing the needs of those in the church and those surrounding us, be it children or the elderly. This is how we encourage church members to get involved in social welfare programs individually and corporately as church to reach out and help the needy.
